Before building tools and AI for companies, we built and ran the infrastructure underneath them: sovereign cloud platforms, hospital migrations, networks for banks and defence. That experience is why our applications land on solid ground, and why we can advise on the decisions that commit you for years.
Infrastructure is not our headline offer. It is the foundation we bring to every build: cloud, sovereign hosting, on-premise and hybrid architectures, virtualisation, identity, network and pragmatic security, with autonomy and reversibility as the criteria.

Decide with the business, not the vendor
Which data, which users, which regulation, which budget, which skills in-house. From there, the architecture: public cloud (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), sovereign operators and European providers (Cloud Temple, Blue, OVHcloud, Infomaniak, Exoscale, Scaleway), on-premise or hybrid.

Build the foundation your applications need
Identity and access (Active Directory and modern identity providers), network segmentation and remote access (VPN, firewalls from Cisco, Fortinet or pfSense), virtualisation (VMware, Proxmox, Hyper-V), backups and monitoring. Sized for your company, documented for your team.

Connect it to what we build
Our applications run by default on Vercel and Supabase with EU regions; when your policy requires it, the same code runs on sovereign cloud or on your own infrastructure. Self-hosted AI models follow the same logic. Ownward remains available for evolution; we do not run 24/7 managed operations.

Questions we hear before we start
Is Ownward an infrastructure company?
No. We build business tools, applications and AI with your team. Infrastructure is the experience we bring so those tools run where they should. Julien Cyr spent years as an architect and executive in sovereign cloud and critical environments before founding Ownward. For sovereignty requirements we work with French sovereign operators such as Cloud Temple and Blue, alongside OVHcloud, Infomaniak, Exoscale and Scaleway.
Sovereign cloud, SecNumCloud, ISO 27001, HDS: what do they mean for us?
They are qualifications and certifications held by providers, describing how they protect data and operate. They tell you where you may host certain data, not whether your application is well built. We help you read them and choose a provider accordingly; Ownward does not claim these certifications itself.
Public cloud or European provider?
Public cloud gives breadth of services; European providers give data residency and simpler compliance for sensitive workloads. Many companies use both, per workload. We decide with you based on data, regulation and skills, not on a vendor relationship.
Do you manage servers and networks day to day?
No. We design, build, document and hand over, and we stay available for changes and escalation. Day-to-day operations stay with your team or a managed provider we can help you choose.
Can AI models run on our own infrastructure?
Yes. Open-source models and European options such as Mistral can be deployed on sovereign cloud or on-premise when confidentiality or cost requires it. Sizing and operations are part of the design.
