Make management reporting easy to publish and govern
Give finance a simple publishing workflow and leadership a controlled place to find the right reporting edition.
These anonymised stories draw on Julien Cyr’s operating experience, including four years within one employment and education group. Related implementation examples illustrate specific patterns; they are not additional client references.
A reporting process is useful when the people producing it can publish easily and the people reading it can find the right edition with the right access.
The business need
Finance needs a practical weekly publishing routine. Leadership needs a consistent destination for reporting. The organisation needs access rules and publication history that it can administer.
The connected solution
The solution combines a Next.js portal on Vercel, Supabase authentication and data, and a Claude Desktop publishing integration. Sign-in, audience selection, edition history and publication form one workflow.
From preparation to consultation
Finance prepares an edition and requests its publication through the configured Claude integration. The portal records the edition and applies its audience rules. Readers sign in to consult the reporting available to them; an administrator manages access.
What the team takes forward
Publishing becomes an operational responsibility supported by a documented tool. Permission checks, publication history and a simple user journey must evolve together. The linked web examples explain related publishing and access patterns; they are separate implementations, not screenshots or source excerpts of this reporting portal.
Who runs it now
- Finance owns preparation and publication of reporting editions.
- Administrators maintain audiences and permissions.
- Ownward can support access reviews, publishing integrations and technical evolution.
